Recently, many Amazon sellers have received new platform notifications regarding Product Safety and Compliance, focusing primarily on lithium‑ion batteries and replacement lithium‑ion battery products. Based on current feedback, Amazon is upgrading its review system for the lithium‑ion battery category, with significantly stricter checks especially for replacement batteries for power tools.

I. Multiple Lithium‑Battery ASINs Removed

According to notifications in seller central, some lithium‑ion battery listings have been directly removed. Sellers are required to submit complete documentation within a specified timeframe; otherwise, their products will no longer be available for sale.
Affected products and high‑risk categories are clearly defined, mainly including:
  1. Power tool replacement batteries (including compatible models such as Makita‑compatible batteries)

  2. High‑capacity lithium‑ion batteries and 18650‑type batteries

  3. Vacuum cleaner batteries and energy‑storage batteries

  4. Unbranded replacement batteries (highest risk level)
